Modern Japanese Translations and English Versions, Regularly Uploaded as Read-Aloud Videos on YouTube
I’m planning to add animations to these stories.
Something like this:
Until recently, creating such content would have required a large production team.
However, with the help of AI, it’s now possible for an individual to do it alone.
The Konjaku Monogatari is classified as a classic of Japanese literature, but its spirit is deeply global.
A large portion of its stories come from India and China, not just Japan.
It clearly expresses the intention that the world of its stories is incomplete without these regions—India, China and Japan, which represented the entire known world at the time.
Because I wanted to carry on that ambitious and borderless vision, I named the site “KONJAKU MONOGATARI into modern language” from the beginning, with the goal of multilingual expansion.
I believe non-verbal expression may offer an easier path to global reach.
Now Recruiting Animators Aiming for a Global Audience
I’m looking for people who can create animations—those who want to express themselves to the world.
There are many advantages to joining this project:
1 The stories are already complete
Konjaku Monogatari is a collection of over 1,000 tales.
You will never struggle to come up with a story.
2 There is already a fan base
3 The project is designed from the outset for a global audience
This is different from typical YouTube content aimed solely at domestic viewers.
We are creating content for the world.
These are thousand-year-old tales, but the scale is global.
In terms of ambition, we’re second to none!
However—
You must also understand the downside:
This is a volunteer-based project.
While I run affiliate ads to cover basic site operations, the project does not currently generate enough profit to offer compensation.
